Our work priorities 2007-08
Research, best practice and international
Different professions don't always effectively share knowledge and best practice. We are playing a growing role in linking research to real change in the sustainable communities sector and building on existing knowledge.
We aim to develop and deliver research through national action research projects, studing and evaluating:
- Regeneration in East Lancashire
- The transformation of a former Yorkshire colliery
- Education and community engagement in Milton Keynes
We'll also
- Build on the European Skills Symposium by developing examples of best practice from abroad
- Take part in two major international conferences
- Develop regional learning laboratories with the Regional Centres of Excellence to generate good practice at the grass roots level
