This project will increase the awareness and understanding of organisations and professionals involved in the delivery of sustainable communities programmes.
It is being piloted in these areas
- West Midlands - Regen WM
- East of England - Inspire East
- North East - Ignite
As part of this programme a resource pack "In a nutshell...Understanding Sustainable Communities" has been developed. This explores the thinking on sustainable communities, the roles and responsibilities of all those involved in delivery, and the implications for skills and learning/training. The pack is specifically targeted at people working for training providers, and in business and training brokerage.
The resources will shortly be available to download from this site.
A series of presentations - in the form of workshops - will be run in the three pilot areas. These will introduce people to the sustainable communities agenda and the contents of the resource pack, and will suggest ways in which it can be used. A copy of the pack will be made available to all participants.
