East: Regional Cities East Regional Skills & Knowledge Programme
Regional Cities East is a collaboration between six medium-sized cities in the East of England - Southend, Peterborough, Luton, Ipswich, Norwich and Colchester.
The six cities believe that by sharing best practice, collaborating on joint ventures and setting clear priorities, they can create more jobs and affordable homes than they can working alone. A skills audit of staff involved in planning, delivering and managing sustainable communities has identified a number of areas for improvement.
The learning laboratory will address both generic and technical skills and will test a number of ways of sharing best practice across the authorities.
