Background to the report
Skills shortages are impairing and threatening the successful delivery of sustainable communities. However committed and motivated people are to meeting the challenges of building better places, these shortages and a lack of understanding across professions, between the professions and the communities which they serve and between the public and private sectors are hampering delivery. This is what the Egan Review found in 2004 and what our research since has reinforced.
